About the Event

Wayne County M.O.S.T. is excited to offer middle school students (Grades 6–8) a full-day, hands-on environmental science experience at the Muller Field Station at Finger Lakes Community College in Honeoye, NY.

Students will rotate through four interactive outdoor learning stations, including swamp paddling, biodiversity exploration using camera traps, macro-invertebrate sampling and water quality testing, and guided nature journaling. This immersive experience connects classroom learning to real-world environmental science in a dynamic, outdoor setting.

This program runs from 10:00 AM–2:30 PM, with transportation provided via coach bus from Pal-Mac Aqueduct County Park. Students must arrive by 8:45 AM for a 9:00 AM departure. We will return to the park at approximately 3:30 PM the same day.

Because this is an outdoor field experience, students should dress appropriately for the weather and wear closed-toe footwear. A packed lunch is required; however, lunch will be provided for students who request it during registration.
